Joanne K. Partin is a partner with Emanuel & Dunn and practices in the areas of estate planning and probate law. She has been a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law since 1994, and she is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, Estate Planning and Elder Law sections.

Ms. Partin has a Bachelor of Arts from Wake Forest University and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has practiced law since 1981 and began practicing in New Bern in 1985.

Ms. Partin is a member and former president of the Coastal Women’s Forum and a former board member of the American Red Cross, Coastal Carolina chapter, Chrysalis Counseling Center, and Craven Arts Council.
